— Scientist Stewart Nozette telling an undercover FBI agent posing as an Israeli spy why he wanted to be paid in cash. The U.S. government calls Nozette, 54, a “brilliant scientist” – he has an MIT doctorate and “sketched out in a burst of brilliance on a paper napkin” the concept for a satellite now in the National Air and Space Museum. Nozette, who worked on satellites and nuclear matters for the Department of Energy in the 1990s, will be sentenced March 21.
