Cory Provus, a Milwaukee Brewers baseball team broadcaster (since when did that become a position on the diamond?) recently visited troops recuperating at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in D.C.:

We met one young soldier from Staten Island, NY, that [hey — he’s a broadcaster] lost all 4 limbs while in Afghanistan. But there he was doing his physical therapy with 2 prosthetic legs and 2 prosthetic arms. And he was doing everything with a huge smile! He’s a Yankees fan but still enjoyed talking about the Brewers for a few minutes.

If you can’t visit these troops, at least visit with someone like Cory who has.
