The GOP removed two of their own in order to get it out of committee. Wouldn’t have made it to the floor otherwise.

The Blue Dogs have gummed up a lot of what might be called “progressive” legislation but NONE of them have been removed in order to get something passed.

Do TRY a little harder to make sense next time.

Mark, are you down on the floor instead while covering this? Maybe you two can wave at each other …or better yet, exchange baseball body language signals to ask certain questions. Speaking of baseball, I wonder if Congress has upper level luxury boxes and suites for corporate donors, Koch’s, etc. like stadiums do.

Yeah afguy, that move in Ohio was coldblooded. Not a great way to maintain party unity / loyalty: I’d bet that guy from Cincy who got yanked will rethink a lot of things. Hope that story gets a lot of attention here, though I doubt it.

We spent about $382 billion on weapons manufacture in '10 (link), we're spending tens-of-billions upgrading our nuclear capabilities (why? I don't know), we've got hundreds-of-thousands of private contractors running around in-theater and at least "75 military-construction contracts" to compliment multiple overseas infrastructure construction contracts.. and Gates can't figure-out how to make due without a $23 spending increase from last year's budget (nor will any of our elected press him on it). Cry me a river.

Stupid us, when we heard the Republicans in the campaign saying that their only focus was going to be “jobs, jobs, jobs” and we thought they meant creating jobs while they really meant to increase unemployment by another million (1,000,000 for Rusty/freepa) and possible cause a double dip recession. Sooner or later, they are going after your current SS and Medicare checks guys. They need the money for their Wall Street friends who contribute to them or Isreal so they get it back through the Isreali PAC. I will believe that they mean to cut when the Isreal annual contribution to keeping Palestine slavery in place is eliminated. Ryan’s plan does it but then again, he is too far to the left for the Tea Pot Heads.
